Pruning

Proper pruning can enhance the beauty of almost any landscape tree or shrub, while improper pruning can ruin or greatly reduce its landscape potential. Care and knowledge is important in this field to not only keep our trees, shrubs and perennials in tip top shape, but also to avoid inviting in pathogens or creating unsafe and weak limbs in the garden.

How & When

Every Plant Is Unique

Each plant dictates how and when it wants to be pruned, and not all plants need to be pruned in the first place. During their dormant season and directly after flowering are two common times to prune. When these schedules are not followed, you risk losing flower or fruit for the next season, as well as creating undue stress for the plant which can lead to decline. We work with the seasons and take into account the types of plants we are working with in order to foster happy and healthy plants.
