Garden Health
The health of your garden, and the greater environment, is based on numerous factors that must work in harmony for plant life to thrive. There is no such thing as a "quick fix" and many of the quick-and-dirty gardening methods adopted today end up causing more harm than good, which is perhaps how you have come to find Calluna Landscapes - to help correct years of mis-managing by other landscapers. You are not alone and with the help of our crews we can work towards harmony and health in your outdoor space, no fretting needed!

Soil Health
The basis to all life. Soil health and composition are the literal and metaphorical base for growing strong, healthy plants.

Watering
Due to our average clay-composite soils, our watering practices are of the utmost importance. Too much and roots become suffocated, too little and the soils dry, crack and pull away from the roots, freezing nutrients in the soil unable to be sucked up by the plants. A happy medium for our plantings is the secret!

Nutrients
Just like we need vitamins in our diets, plants also need nutrients to thrive. We use all organic fertilizers and soil amendments. As gardeners, we are stewards of the lands and take that responsibility seriously.

Pruning
Each plant and plant family has its own time and method for pruning - and we aren't talking about shearing or "lollipopping!" An understanding of what each specimen needs and the proper timing is taken into account to create full, balanced plants.

Pests
They may be cute, but they can wreak havoc on your yard! We can help by identifying what pests may be in the garden and methods for dissuading them.
